We are Back!

So I broke a promise I made awhile back about keeping our BLOG up to date. Sorry!!! :(
I guess I never realized how much my life was going to be consumed by Dental Hygiene, Brandon & Colin!!!!
What is new with us? Where to start!! Brandon still has a job at SDI despite this horrible economy... which I am thankful for everyday. Although he cannot work the overtime, and he is not receiving those nice bonus checks, we are still lucky for what we have. Brandon just finished up a job of insulating our attic. His Daddy Jeff and Brother, Justin, helped us out as well. The house is nice and toasty!! :) I think the cold weather is making Brandon go stir crazy though since he cannot be outside in his garage working on projects.
I have 2 weeks left of my 1st semester of Dental Hygiene school and I LOVE IT!! In January, I start taking patients- so PLEASE HELP ME OUT!! IPFW does takes dental insurance as well. I need a certain amount of patients to clean and radiographs to take each semester and I do not want an incomplete. I am also going to be babysitting again during the summer time. If you know any kiddies that need a sitter- refer them on over to me. :)
Colin is trying to talk up a storm. He is just all over the place- really turning into a MoNsTeR!! He has a temper so watch out! He has to have things his way or the highway. Colin has been sick a lot since this cold weather has come. I just pray each morning that he wakes up healthy! He just loves going over to the neighbors house when I am in class. She has been babysitting Colin. She has 5 children, with 4 of them in school during the day, and one at home. Jayden is 3 years old- his nickname is 'Bugga.' Colin is constantly saying 'Bugga' and wanting to go play with him. Angie (my neighbor) says they play all day long!
He is starting to get my side of the families height. From his 15 month appointment to his 18 month appointment- he grew almost 4 inches! He is just so handsome- like his Daddy.
Brandon & I have his Christmas work party at the Grand Wayne Center tomorrow night. We always spend the night at the Marriott which is hooked onto the Grand Wayne Center. It's so much fun to get dressed up and have some fun together.
Christmas is almost here and word on the street is that Santa has spoiled Colin this year!! :) We decorated the house and Colin says 'Ho Ho Ho' to anything that has to do with Christmas. He will not say Santa, Snowman, etc... just Ho Ho Ho! It is so cute. We bought a huge Christmas tree to replace our wimpy one we had in previous years. It is only decorated half way- just out of arms reach of Colin. We look forward to getting to see a lot of our families at gatherings since we don't see most of them throughout the year. It's a busy time so we will see how it goes!!
Alright- I have talked enough... so enjoy all of these pictures!!!

Trying to get a family picture

I heard Colin playing in his room and this is what I walked in on! Notice the dirty look he is giving me! Haha

Holiday Weekend

Photobucket

The 4th of July weekend was a blast! Brandon & I made a trip down to Indy to stay with Brandon's friend Joe. He had a cookout and Colin stayed at Grandma & Grandpa Bouthot's house. They took Colin to the air show and to a cook out as well. It was hard to leave Colin but it was also nice to be able to sit and not have to worry about chasing him 24/7! :)

We had a cookout on Saturday. Colin enjoyed the fireworks but he was so exhausted that he did not stay awake to see very many. He really liked the black snakes that grow when you lite them. The cookout was a fun: lots of food, laughs, and good times. Colin's friend Hayden came over and they had a BLAST playing the in sprinkler. Boys will be Boys!!

If you have not heard the GREAT news yet (no- we are not pregnant :( )... I have finally gotten into Dental Hygiene school!! It has taken me 5 years to get in! I start on my Birthday- August 25th. It is going to be a huge change for both Colin & I since I will be in school 5 days a week. We are going to now put trying for a new baby on the back burner for now. It's ok- it will be worth it!! :)

Colin is really start to take off with his language skills. Today, we were reading a book about animals, and when we came to the picture of the cow, Colin said "mooooooo!" How exciting!! He also now has 7 teeth including his 1st molar!!! He had his 15 month checkup and everything went extrememly well! Dr. Camille is amazed by his social skills and development. He is such a flirt!

Emergency Room!!

Colin had his first trip to the ER this morning! He is ok...but here is the story!
Colin was normal all day yesturday and he went to be perfectly fine. He awoke about 1:30 in the morning with a hard time breathing. He was gasping and had a 'seal-like' cough and rasp to his voice. After calming him down- Brandon & I decided he needed to go to the ER. Brandon stayed home to sleep for work and my niece, Andrea, came with Colin and I. We went to Dupont Hospital.
We arrived and immeditaley they decided that Colin was suffering from a bad case of 'croupe.' Croupe is a respitory viral infection that attacks kids from 3 months to 4 years. He received 2 breathing treatments by a wonderful woman named Laura. Colin really liked her and she treated him like a 14 month old should be treated. Now for the rest of the staff- I have nothing nice to say. Seriously- looking at Colin and demanding him to 'cooporate' during his X-Rays is ridiculous. Imagine being 14 months old- 1st time in the ER, really tried, cannot breathe, being sat in a chair by himself with a lead apron on. Would you be able to 'cooperate??' Let alone he doesn't even know what the word means!
ANYWAYS- he also recieved a strong steriod shot to open his airways. THEN we also find out he has an ear infection in his right ear. So he is then given a antibiotic shot to help with that. So there a tid bit of our ER story! I have no pictures- but it might have been cute if I would have taken some during his breathing treatments- he was having fun with it. Poor Colin!!! Today he is happy and playing- but still very raspy and breathing hard. We slept most of the day! :)

Till next time.... :

Summer Days

Photobucket

So sorry it has taken me so long to post a new blog!! I promise it will never happen again! :)

Colin has 6 teeth now!! 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom. He has been hyper and really starting to morph into his own personality (and attitude!!!). Brandon, Colin, and I went out to breakfast yesterday morning and he sure let us know (by screaming) if he wanted or did not want something! Brandon was quite embarrassed!! He throws little tantrums now which are really pleasant- let me tell you! He will yell and scream when it is time to go inside after playing outside. My Dad says he is only preparing up for his terrible 2's!!! :)

Photobucket

He is saying 'uh oh' and 'Yabba Dabba Do' all of the time. It is so much fun to watch him change and listen to him babble!! Colin is also starting to run- especially when you tell him to put his shoes on, get dressed, or get a diaper change!

Colin & I spoiled Brandon on Father's Day... but he sure deserved it! We bought him a new pair of Nike Shocks, a Cubs Frosty Mug, and we made him a garden stepping stone. It says "#1 Dad" and it has Colin's hand print in it. It is the neatest thing and we have it out by the pool! Unfortunately Brandon had to work on Father's Day, so Colin and I went over to my parents house where they had a nice family cookout.

Speaking of pool... Colin is starting to get used to the pool. He doesn't like the first initial cold feeling, but he does get used to it. He is getting brave because he will walk up to the pool, lay on his belly and put his hands in the water. He hates his life jacket- but what little kid loves it??!!

Photobucket

One of my best friends, Sara, and her son, Hayden came over. We played in the pool and grilled hotdogs! Sara and I had never used a grill before- but we figured it out!! :)

Colin's 1st Trip to the Zoo

Photobucket
This past Monday, Colin and I ventured to the Zoo- for his 1st time! A group of 'Moms' from our Dupont Hospital 'Mom 2 Mom' class all met there- along with the kiddies! Colin had a blast. He enjoyed the Monkeys and the Aqaurium. We did not get to stop much because as soon as the stroller stopped moving- Colin was trying his hardest to get out of it! So it was either push it 24/7 OR let him walk the whole time! What a FUN day... one to never forget!

The Whole 'Gang' after lunch!

Colin and I are battling colds right now. Actually- we may have passed it onto Brandon as well! Sorry! I have not been sick since before I was pregnant so it sure has put a damper on my days!

Colin is really into helping me clean right now. He will grab a rag and walk around the house with me and help me dust. His new thing this past week is to grab the broom out of the laundry room and 'sweep' the floor. Here is a picture!

Photobucket

He just looks so grown up!! Also- if you ask him to do the 'Indian' he will pat his hand over his mouth and make the noise- "ohhhh...ohhhh....ohhhh"

Brandon and my Dad just painted the pool this past Friday. We are going to start filling it in the next few days! I cannot wait to get tan! Speaking of tan... I had a great Mothers Day. Brandon & Colin bought me this really nice 'lay out' chair! :)

Brandon accepted a new job at SDI. Same hours & pay... but it is an easier job! Go Brandon!

That's all for now... until next week... :)

Weekend Fun

Photobucket
We had our first garage sale this past weekend. It is not fun to get everything together but it is sure worth it once all of your 'stuff' is out of the house!! Colin had a wonderful time being outside for 2 days straight. He LOVES going over to the neighbors house and playing with the kids. They have 5 children, ages: 14,10,9,5 and 2! If we step outside- Colin always looks over at their house to see if they are outside! I am amazed at how social he is at such a young age! Colin also had a chance to spend a lot of time with Grandma Tami & Uncle Adam during the 2 day garage sale!

Colin is being dedicated at The Chapel on Mother's Day! What a fun way to celebrate! He was suppose to be dedicated months earlier but his episode with, 'croupe' put a hold on it.

His vocabulary is really starting to take off. He is saying... Hi, Ma-Ma, Da-Da (or Daddy), Ball, Clap, Yeah!, Baby (he says Baa-Bee), Ga (he says it when Grandpa is around), More (pronounced Mow). That is all I can think of right now. He also loves to brush his teeth (well- tooth I should say since he still only has one!). Every morning he goes into the bathroom with Mommy and brushes!

I just cannot get over how cute and happy he is- he amazes me every minute!!!

Much Love!

Welcome!

Photobucket

Hello Everyone! Welcome to our Fisher Family Blog! This is such a wonderful idea (Thanks to my cousin- Kristal) because we have family out of town. You can come to our page and check out what is new with us... especially Colin! I will try to update at least once a week- so check back and look on a regular basis!

Colin just turned ONE on April 4th! Can you believe it?! He is walking everywhere and developing his own personality (and temper!). He is still the happiest baby around! His smile is just contagious!! Right now he is battling another ear infection. Poor lil' guy is on his 2nd round of antibiotics.

Photobucket

If any of you did not know- I have been staying home with Colin since this past October. I am truely blessed to have a husband who will let me do this. Colin and I spend a lot of time together and the beautiful weather has been a treat for us. We go on at least 2 walks a day and play outside! Colin loves his Radio Flyer car he recieved on his Birthday!! We literally do not go anywhere without it! We are counting the days until the pool is open and we can start swimming!

Brandon is working at SDI (Steel Dynamics Inc). He has been there for a little over a year. He works his hands to the bone with all of the extra overtime he has been trying to pull in. He is a hard working man! He is still volunteering at the St. Joe Township Fire Dept. when he has the time.

We are also just finishing up the last touches on our Family Room remodeling that we have been working on the past few months. Brandon has done a wonderful job and I am so happy to get rid of that horrible green carpet!! I have been having a great time decorating and playing 'Interior Designer!' :)

Brandon, Colin, and I went to Chicago this past Thursday to take Colin to his 1st Chicago Cubs game! He did wonderful on the drive but did not want to sit during the game. Colin and I were outside on the patio most of the time so he could walk around. He was given a pre-game ball from a man who works at Wrigley Field. What a great way to remember his first game (although he won't- but we will!).

This past weekend- Colin had a chance to go to the park for his 1st time as well. He had a blast and my Dad took a million pictures and a video as well- Check it out below. He LOVED the slide!!

That is all for now! Check back on a regular basis and see what is new! Much Love!
